Miss Black Shreveport was created in 1994 as a way for African American women to showcase their talents and attributes during Black History Month in February. Since then, the pageant has grown to give opportunities to African American women across Louisiana.

2010 Miss Black Shreveport Pageant, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 7p.m. Deadline for applications. January 16, 2010. No Exceptions! 

Friday, February 5, 2010 .6:30p.m. interview competition Miss, Teen, Princess contestants.

Friday, February 5, 2010. 6p.m. rehearsal Little Mr. and Miss contesatnts.    

Friday, February 5, 2010 8p.m. Rehearsal Miss, Teen, and Princess contestants.

 

Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 10:00a.m. contestants ride in Black History Parade.

Saturday, February 6, 2010 , 3p.m. rehearsal.: Miss. Teen, Princess and Ms.

Saturday, February 6, 2010,  7p.m. Pageant Starts.

Pageant will be held at Huntington High School.

 

Competition ages are as follows:

0-12 years: Little Miss    Entry fee: $45.00

13-18 years: Teen and Princess  Entry fee: $50.00

17-24 years: Miss Entry fee: $50.00

Married women of all ages: Mrs.  Entry fee: $50.00

25-30 years: Ms.  Entry fee: $50.00

 

Phases of Competition:

Little Mr./Miss Contestants: Pageant wear or Sunday wear only.

Miss.:Swimsuit, Evening Gown, Interview and Talent


Mrs.: Evening Gown, Interview, and Casual Wear


Ms. : Swimsuit, Evening Gown, Interview, and Talent


Teen: Swimsuit, Evening Gown, Interview, and Talent


Princess: Evening Gown, Interview, and Sportswear.

All Talent times are 2min. or less. NO Exceptions!
